Detailed programme of the mobility period:
This course is of significant benefit to non-native speakers of English who:
· Are required to teach English or a subject through English, e.g. CLIL teachers
· Need to work on projects, exchange programmes or committees with an international dimension
· Need to liaise with English-speaking colleagues or parents of their students
· Need to undertake research or take part in conferences/seminars which contribute to their professional development and the good of their school
Objectives
· To develop and consolidate participants’ language skills by enhancing competency in English language usage in a multi-national environment
· To enhance communication in English between teachers and students
· To enhance participants’ competence in communicating and sharing of knowledge/experiences in English at conferences and training courses
· To enhance teachers competence in reading and understanding professional articles and journals published in English
· To promote awareness of Irish history and culture

Tasks of the participant before, during and after: Pre-course Tasks:
1. Preparing Needs Analysis
2. Taking part in an on-line Participants’ Forum
3. Contact with the Host Family
4. Receiving Cultural Counselling from in-country Counsellor/Host Organisation
5. Receiving practical arrangements from Course Provider
Intra-Course Tasks
1. Active participation in the course including full attendance
2. Co-operating with a Course Tutor
3. Exchanging Best Practice
4. Making Contacts with other teachers for future Co-operation
5. Preparing Evaluation Feedback
6. Reporting to in-country Counsellor (if applicable) by email / phone
Post-Course Tasks:
1. Reporting to the Co-ordinator and the Head Teacher of the Sending Institution
2. Using the knowledge and experience gained during the visit
3. Sharing Knowledge and Erasmus + Potential with the school staff/others in the region.
4. Keeping in touch and co-operating with teachers from other European Countries
5. Reporting to teacher training centres
Dissemination of course experiences
Competences to be acquired by the participant:
· Enhancement of personal English Language skills: reading, writing, speaking, listening, fluency, accuracy
· Greater understanding of students’ needs
· Opportunities to observe teaching techniques, use of technology in the classroom and class management
