Esposende 2022

This course is based on the concept of reflexive learning, which is an educational route of guiding people through the rapid changes, risks, and uncertainties of modernity. Reflexivity compels people to think afresh, to reflect on, and to engage with their social environment.

Reflexive learning can have a high potential for application in schools, helping students to build their own identity, reinforce their self-esteem and adjust to their social context.

Although teachers tend to recognize the importance of self-reflection in students, they do not always have the time or the opportunity to experience it themselves.

This course is as an opportunity for teachers to live a unique opportunity for reflexive learning through a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela on a seven-day journey through the Portuguese coastal path.

Throughout the week, participants should prepare a learning journal and at the end share with the group one of the parts they have selected. The learning journal can be done on paper or digital, in the form of texts, podcasts, drawings, photographs, ...

Before the start of the course, practical guidance will be provided to help mitigate the difficulties envisaged on the route.

Participants will be able to choose to do the entire journey on foot, collecting the stamps necessary to receive at the arrival the Compostela certificate, or make only a few parts, taking advantage of the existence of a support van that will permanently accompany the path.
