-          Conflict management
-          Giving and reveiving Feedback
After that, we did an activity. We coud say three important things about the course: our fears, contributions we could do and the expectations we expected.

We can see key competences. Furthermore, we saw what is a competence? In conclusion, we learned competences are a combination of knowledge, skills and attitudes appropiate to the context. Then, we did teambuilding exercises. Later, we did  crossword activities and definitions too. Bridging the gap, we put teachers and students skills. After, we saw more skills and we remembered the most required skills.

In an activity we had to choose people with leadership ability and explain the reasons and influences they had on others.

Finally, we did our dialy evaluation the course.

Conflict management Presentation

On Wednesday we saw conflict management theory, negotiation and conflict management techniques, paractical group and simulations.
First, we saw types of conflicts:
-          Goal conflict
-          Cognitive conflict
-          Affective conflict
We learnt why would do conflicts arise and views on conflicts too. We also saw conflict as opportunity.
Why do conflicts arise?

The answers to the previous questions are:
-          Different needs, objectives, values
-          Different perception o r opinión
-          Miscommunication
-          Limited resources-
Something important was the beauty of  Clair Canfield conflict.

We could learn the opportunitties of conflicts, to confrontation with yourself and learn more about emotional management between you and understand others. The conflict are a sintom, one kind of alarm, to  us know what is wrong. The conflicts have a cause and a solution. Furthemore, one external conflict can guide us to an internal solution.
Three importants things were:
1º Undestand what the conflict is about
2º Choose how to handle it (Preparing yourself for the conflict)
3º Speak responsibly (Am I stuck?) Alarms Justification , blameless.

Then we reviewed conflict management styles. An animal was associated with a quality. For example, a turtle with competing; teddy bear with compromise, etc. After that, we saw different types of students (gossipier, interrupter, kwo it all, negative and quiet one) and we wrote adjectives and qualities ot them. Finally, we said orally the previous activity.

After the course, in the afternoon, we had a guided visit to Florence or Venice. We separated into two groups, some visited Florence and others Venice. It was great!

THURSDAY 04-7-2019

Communication and assertive communication Presentation https://drive.google.com/open?id=1UuQLkFKms4j6oLoWUYeqQoka5ueLlN52

On Thursday the main points were: The basic elements about public speaking, communication and learning styles, how to plan a public speech, design and delivering an effective presentation.

We reviewed again conflict management styles. For example:
-          Turtle is avoidance, hide from the conflicto.
-          Teddy bear, smoothing, accomodating strategy.
-          Shark Competing, forcing.
-          Fox is conected to compromise, negotiation.
-          Owl, collaborative, owl is conected to wisdom.

Therefore, two important things were:
-          Assertive (Reaching the Goal)
-           Cooperative style is beying careful of other people needs

In conclusion, colaborative is win  solution. Time is across the chart. Therefore, the assertiveness is really important.

We learnt styles of communication and we did a team activity. We had to create phrases for each category and tried to understand what they have in common.
Passive says: Perhaps , I don’t know…, How did Sue feel?
Passive/ agressive: “I told you”, “never forget and not forgive”, “frecuently abse”, “ The problem is not Joe, is Joe behaviour”.
Agressive: “You must”, “You idiot”, “You never…”, “Because I said so”, “You always…”.
Assertive: “Yes, tahta was my mistake”, “As I understand your point…”, “Let me explain why I disagree with that point”.

Finallly, we dif an activity in group. We should think of a recurrent  difficult  situation. Then, wrote out a summary of the scenario, plus your assertive response. Later, we passed our scenario to first group. They wrote out what the other person might say with an aggressive response. This activity continued with more different responses.

In the afternoon we visited to Ravenna, where we witnessed a multitudinous performance with professional actors and many non-professionals, in which they represented the beginning of the second song of the Divine Comedy: Purgatory. In which Dante and Virgilio meet Cato, represented by the actor of photography.

Friday 05-7-2019

On Friday we started the class with a wrap up summary. We continued with interpersonal communication, meeting management theory, call and chair a meeting, practical group work and exercises.

We learnt why is body language so important. Some of the reasons were:
-          Body language speaks louder than words.
-          Body language helps form the first impression that people have of us.
-          Body language does not lie; it reveals the real us.

We continued with other types of communication: gesturing, voice tone, eye contact, eye contact pitfalls. Furthemore, we could see body language was important: posture, facial expressions and gestures. Other interesting thing was decoding body language.

In theory, we saw the importance of public discourse. Later, we did diferents public speeches.
We did ours and we listened to our classmates.
In that day, we were working, we did practical work and exercises too.
After the course, we had our last dinner together. It was really special! We had dinner in traditional    Italian restaurant. The food was delicious!

SATURDAY 06-7-2019

On Saturday, we had to make presentations of 4 minutes long each. We listened to all the classmates and
we saw and we said what we could improve in our oral speech. Then we had to choose a topic, argue
with three important reasons and a conclusion as closing.

This was another different way of practicing oral speech.

Finally, we made a course roundup and final evaluation. We could comment on what we had thought

To end, we had validation of learning outcomes and certification ceremony. We all got together to take a picture. This course has been a great experience!

Then we had our trip back to Spain. We took the train to go to Rome. Then we flew from Rome to Seville. Finally, we arrived  at home.
